We are seeking a collaborative and technically strong Systems Administrator to join a growing IT team supporting a corporate office environment in Midtown Manhattan. This individual will be responsible for maintaining and supporting core infrastructure systems, collaboration platforms, and end user technology while delivering high quality white glove customer service support across the organization.
This role will replace a senior member of the team and requires someone comfortable supporting a Microsoft 365 environment , security tools, collaboration technologies, and user support in a professional corporate setting.
This position will begin as a contract to hire engagement with the intent to transition the right individual into a full time role.
The role requires 5 days onsite at the client’s office
Key Responsibilities
Provide high level desktop and systems support across the organization while delivering white glove customer service to business users and leadership
Administer and support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange and Microsoft Teams
Manage and troubleshoot user accounts, permissions, and identity services across Active Directory and Azure environments
Support endpoint security tools including Microsoft Defender
Provide support for Zoom collaboration technology including conference room systems and Zoom Phone environments
Respond to and resolve technical issues through the Zendesk ticketing system , ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, mobile devices, collaboration tools, and enterprise applications
Assist with system administration tasks including account provisioning, system configuration, and maintenance
Collaborate with networking and security team members when addressing infrastructure or security related issues
Provide onsite support for conference rooms and collaboration environments used for meetings and hybrid events
Occasionally travel to other New York office locations to assist with troubleshooting or onsite technical support
Participate in maintaining documentation, system standards, and operational best practices
Required Skills and Qualifications
3 to 6 years of experience in Systems Administration, Desktop Engineering, or IT Infrastructure support
Strong experience supporting Microsoft 365 including Exchange and Teams
Hands on experience with Active Directory administration
Experience supporting ticketing platforms such as Zendesk
Experience supporting Zoom collaboration environments including conference rooms and Zoom Phones
Strong troubleshooting skills across operating systems, enterprise applications, and collaboration tools
Experience working in a professional corporate environment providing high quality customer service to business users
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
Preferred Technical Experience
Experience with Azure environments
Exposure to Microsoft Defender or endpoint security tools
Experience supporting corporate collaboration technologies including Zoom and Microsoft Teams
Experience supporting organizations with multiple office locations
Background supporting environments within real estate, property management, or multifamily organizations is a plus
